In  some countries, celebrities complain about the way media publicize their private lives. Some people say that they should accept it as part of their fame.

Do you agree or disagree?

.

.

No doubt, the fortune and fame celebrities enjoy are due to their  fans, and  this  might be the reason why a section of society believes it  is  correct for media to  talk about  celebrities’ personal lives.  In my opinion, such  an interference not only attacks celebrities basic  rights, but it  also puts their family under a lot  of unwanted stress.

.

To  start with the  most prominent  reason, it is  unjustified to deny celebrities their  basic right  of privacy. Though people are curious to know  about their favorite stars, it does not mean media houses  can go  to the extent of violating their  personal lives. As such, having a celebrity life means competition and  stress, adding to  their woes does not seem correct, and can even lead to some drastic implications. As  is evident from suicides of many  Indian actors like Divya Bharti and Sushant  Singh Rajput, who could not bear the pressure of this profession and took their  own lives. Hence, it is advisable that  journalists and news reporters draw a line not to be crossed in any circumstances.

.

Along with  celebrities, their  family members  also face the  consequences of media’s encroachment/intervention/intrusion. It  is  natural that  whenever media creates gossip for movies stars or  politicians, the brunt for the  same would also be borne by their loved ones. Even their children are questioned at every step, whether at schools or  playgrounds. In the  end, most of them have no option but to study away  from their  family  either  in boarding  schools or foreign lands. One such example  is Doon Boarding School, Dehradoon, which only caters to children of film stars, singers, politicians or big businessmen in India. Therefore, the  unnecessary proliferation of  media  gives  rise to unprecedented complications for celebrities’ families.

.

.

.

To  conclude, media does not have  a right  to intervene and go beyond professional life of celebrities. Such acts, put both celebrities and their loved ones under  unnecessary trauma and risk.
