process diagram:
It is divided in many steps or stages, which are usually mentioned.
In case, these are not mentioned, you can also divide the process in various steps.
Explain the chart in the light of various steps, this gives a flow in the answer along with an option to use more words.
Explain each step and wherever possible, compare steps with each other.
.
Processes are always answered in present simple tense. A command over passive voice is a must.
.
Structure for present simple in active and passive voice:
Active voice: Subject + verb Ist form + s/es + object
(s/es is used along with third person singulars)
In the third step, a crusher crushes the sugarcane to get juice.

Passive voice: Object + is/am/are + verb IIIrd form + by + subject
(in diagrams, at times, subject is missing, so we stick to is/are with verb IIIrd form)
In the third step, sugarcane is crushed to get juice.

Overall:
Overall, it is a man-made, linear process consisting of four main stages: farming, crushing, separating and drying.
Overall, sugar production is a simple process with 7 different steps/stages. It starts with farming of sugar cane and ends with drying of the sugar.

.
.
The first stage is growing of the sugar cane which takes around 12 to 18 months. After this period, sugar cane is mature enough to be harvested.
There are two options available to harvest fully grown sugar cane. It can be done either manually or through machines.
In the manual process, farmers chop the sugar cane, whereas in mechanized method machines are used for the same.

The harvested canes are then crushed to extract the juice, which later on is purified using a limestone filter.
Next, the purified juice is boiled in an evaporator to remove water so that it is concentrated into a syrup.
The syrup is then poured into a centrifuge where it is spun at high speed to separate sugar crystals from it.
Finally, the crystals are dried and cooled and the end result is sugar.

First of all, sugar cans, which are the main raw material, are grown and after 12 to 18 months, they get matured and ready for harvesting.
Moreover, harvesting is either done by hand or by heavy harvesting trucks. After that, sugar canes are crushed, extracting a sugar cane juice that is then purified using a limestone filter in order to separate the juice from any unwanted solids.

In the next stage, this juice is converted into syrup by evaporation under high heat. Subsequently, a centrifuge is utilized to separate the needed sugar crystals out from the syrup and finally, the sugar gets ready to be used after putting the sugar crystals aside in a container to dry and cool.

.
.
This process starts initially with the growing of sugarcane in the field to obtain sugar by various steps.
The sugarcane is grown in a field that takes about 12 to 18 months before they get completely ripped to provide us with its juice.
Then the sugar cane is harvested either by harvester over large production or by manual cutting of the cane stems.
After this, the cut-down sugar cane is injected into the crusher to extract the juice and is collected in a container.

Furthermore, the collected juice undergoes a purified process done with the help of a limestone filter.
Hereafter, the collected juice undergoes an evaporator’s evaporation process, where the juice is heated up to get relief from water content in it and gets converted into a syrup.
This syrup undergoes a centrifugal process where the sugar crystals get separated from the syrup by means of a giant Rotor.
Finally, the crystals are collected, dried and cooled and are ready to move to the market for sale.
