While some people believe that the only reason we should learn a foreign language is to visit or work in a foreign country, many others opine that the benefits of learning a different language are not limited to the job and travel prospects only.

In this essay, I will shed light on both points of views, however my personal opinion is that learning a foreign language is not restricted to travel and work alone.
As multiple benefits can also be associated with learning a foreign language, such as knowledge of multiple cultures, better career options, multitasking ability, better command over communication

There is a school of thought that believes purpose of learning a foreign language revolves around travelling or working overseas. Though this notion is suitable/apt to a large extent, there are other reasons that cannot be overlooked.
